Officer Christine Nicolosi took a report earlier today for a stolen child’s tricycle. The tricycle is used by a 4-year-old boy named Jasiah, who has autism. His mother, Sarina takes him to school every day and uses this tricycle to get around. It is his favorite toy.
Today, Jasiah and his mother walked to Market Basket to get some items. While shopping in the market, they left the tricycle in front of the store. When Sarina returned to the front of the store, the tricycle had been stolen.
Sarina returned home and called the police to report the theft. After taking the report, Officer Nicolosi began to reach out to the other officers on the shift to try and to take a collection to replace the tricycle. When she spoke with Officer Pat Waldron, he informed her he had a practically new one at home his children were not using and was happy to give the tricycle to Jasiah.
Officer Nicolosi and Officer Waldron returned a short time later with a replacement tricycle for Jasiah.
Thank you Officers Nicolosi and Waldron going the extra distance and helping a family in the community!!
