We are excited to announce that the Methuen Police Department has added a cancer awareness cruiser to our fleet!
The police department has repurposed one of our 2022 Ford Interceptors and created a cancer awareness cruiser. This cruiser was previously assigned to our patrol division. Cruiser 721 was sent to Municipal Graphics and was restriped with pink markings and pink ribbons.
As you may remember, the department used to have a pink 2010 Dodge Charger police cruiser that was created as a cancer awareness vehicle. The community response to this vehicle was incredible with many citizens appreciative of the department bringing awareness to the residents of Methuen and around the region. This cruiser was taken out of service due to its age and engine issues.
Cruiser 721 will be used primarily by our community police unit and will be making appearances at community events and functions. Many local police departments have similar cruisers to help spread awareness and raise money for charitable causes that support the research and treatment of cancer.
Residents are invited to stop by and check it out when they see this newest edition to our fleet!
