The Methuen Police Department is undergoing a mini makeover. Contractors have come in for Phase II of the Asbestos Removal Program. Attached are some photos showing before and after of the Quinn Building, which was originally built in 1950 according to records from the Merrimack Valley Planning Commission. The project was approved by City Council after a competitive bidding process in December 2023.
In addition, the contractor will be removing lead from the former Indoor Range to ensure a safe working environment for the men and women of the Methuen Police Department.
Once completed, the Building renovation will continue by beginning the renovation of the bathrooms in the Patrol Division to provide unisex bathrooms with private shower stalls for the staff.
