Methuen Animal Control Officer Renee Falardeau Reunites Sully with his Owner
Shari’s 4 year old Pug, Sully, was able to escape the confines of his yard, due to a damaged fence from the last storm. He eluded his dog walker and went on a stroll of the streets of Methuen. Seen walking along, a Good Samaritan picked him up and brought him to the Methuen Police Station in hopes that Animal Control Officer Renee Falardeau would be able to reunite him with his owner. Though ACO Falardeau was nearing the end of her shift, she began gathering information and preparing to process Sully as a Found dog on Social Media and with the shelter. It was in perfect timing that Sully’s Family called the police department to report Sully missing. They were advised that Sully had been brought in and was safe with Animal Control. Sully’s owner, Shari, rushed down to the police station. She was overwhelmed with relief and joy that Sully was safe and sound. Smiles and Hugs all around for this dog and his owner.
While reuniting Sully with Shari, Chief McNamara congratulated ACO Falardeau on being selected Employee of the Month here at Methuen PD. Chief McNamara cites ACO Falardeau as “a one-person unit that has many responsibilities. Renee’s professionalism whether dealing with a barking dog complaint or helping a person with the loss of their pet should be recognized. Renee handles her job without complaints and is readily available to assist anyone who asks for her assistance, whether day or night. Renee’s professionalism and commitment to her job is the reason she has been selected as November’s Employee of the month.”
Welcome Home Sully and Congratulations to ACO Falardeau on a job well done.
