All residents who have applied for a license to carry (LTC) will receive a call within the next two weeks to schedule an appointment for fingerprinting. I am sure you can understand the delay for fingerprinting has largely been impacted by concerns for COVID-19 exposure to yourself and the processing officer. We have a protocol in place and will begin LTC processing this Friday, August 28, 2020. All appointments will be scheduled in the order that the applications where received.
If you have an application on file please be patient you will be called for an appointment soon. We appreciate all your understanding and appreciation. The COVID-19 protocols have definitely slowed our ability to process applications.
For non-emergency matters, we encourage residents to continue to call the department business line at 978-983-8698 to speak with a dispatcher or an officer. We will continue to take minor reports over the phone. If necessary, an officer will be dispatched to your location to speak with you and take a report on the scene.
Incidents that require an immediate police response, residents should immediately call our dispatch at 978-983-8698.
For emergency matters, residents are urged to call 911.
Also, we wish to remind residents we do not take police reports via our social media accounts as they are not monitored in real-time.
