Methuen Police Continue to Investigate Huse Road Shots Fired

Methuen– Chief Solomon and the Methuen Police department report that on October 10th at approximately 9:57 pm 911 calls began ringing in to the police department reporting shots fired. The shots fired calls were being reported in the area of Broadway, Huse Road and Brown Street. Ultimately, a call from Holy Family Hospital reported that they were receiving a gunshot victim at the main entrance of the emergency room.
In response to the 911 calls, Methuen Police Officers were dispatched to all three locations, as well as the Holy Family Hospital, and an investigation into the shooting incident commenced. As the investigation unfolded, Officers reported locating evidence of a shooting on Huse Road. At this time, a perimeter was set up to preserve the scene and further the investigation.
Methuen Police Officers who responded to the Holy Family Hospital where able to identify the victim as an 18 year old male from Lawrence, Massachusetts. The victim was MedFlighted to Boston and is said to be in critical but stable condition at this time.
A vehicle which was involved in the incident was located with numerous bullet holes in it.
Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Services responded to process the scene.
Methuen Police Department explosive K9 Officer Getchell and K9 Buddy searched the area for firearms evidence.
