Storm Preparation Tips: Severe Weather Alert for Methuen – High Wind Warning (Up to 60 MPH)

Weather Advisory for Methuen MA. High Wind Warning from 3:00 am until 7:00 pm on February 25, 2019

A high wind warning is in effect for the Merrimack Valley from 3:00 am until 7:00 pm on Monday, February 25, 2019.  A High Wind Warning is issued when sustained winds of 40 mph are expected for at least one hour, with gusts of 58 mph or greater at any time. Damage to trees, power lines, and property are possible with winds of this magnitude. Power outages are likely. Take action to secure loose outdoor objects.

In order to be prepared for the upcoming storm, the Methuen Police Department would like to share a few links which will help you be ready in the event of a power outage.

If your home loses power, please contact the National Grid at 1-800-322-3223 (Customer Service) or 1-800-465-1212 (Outage Reporting Line).

If you see power lines on the ground, do not touch them.  Immediately call 911.
