METHUEN — Police Chief Joseph Solomon and Mayor James Jajuga report that the Methuen Police Department, working closely with the Essex District Attorney’s Office and the Lawrence Police Department, arrested three suspects in connection with a Tenney Street home invasion that occurred Tuesday.
JONATHAN THOMPSON, AGE 29, OF LAWRENCE was arraigned in Lawrence District Court today on the following charges:
- Home Invasion
- Breaking and Entering During the Daytime to Commit a Felony
- Larceny from a Building
- Malicious Damage over $1,200
A 15-year old male and a 17-year old male, both of Lawrence will be arraigned in Lawrence Juvenile Court today in connection with the same incident.
“These arrests come as a result of a diligent investigation by Methuen Police Detectives, State Police assigned to District Attorney Jonathan W. Blodgett’s office, and our neighbors in the Lawrence Police Department,” Mayor Jajuga said. “I am very proud of the efficient and aggressive police work that resulted in these arrests less than 36 hours after the incident.”
Added Chief Solomon: “This case is a fine example of team work between state, county, and municipal agencies, showing a strong sense of urgency in response to a violent home invasion.”
