2017 Methuen Fireworks Celebration – Sunday, July 2, 2017 – Information & Road Closures
Entertainment begins at 7:00 P.M. Fireworks display at 9:15.
The 2017 Methuen Fireworks Celebration will take place on Sunday, July 2, 2017. The fireworks will be ignited on a barge located on the Merrimack River adjacent to “Martin Park” on Riverside Drive. The city has two viewing locations with festivities, 1) Martin Park, Riverside Drive and 2) Morse Park on Burnham Road, across from Market Basket.
Road Closures and Detours will be implemented at 5:30 pm:
1) Riverside Drive EASTBOUND will be detoured at Glen Avenue closed. Resident traffic will be allowed only to 945 Riverside Drive.
2) Riverside Drive WESTBOUND will be closed from the boat ramp to Glen Ave.
3) Burnham Road NORTHBOUND will be closed.
4) Burnham Road will be ONE WAY SOUTHBOUND to Riverside Drive with all traffic forced to turn RIGHT onto Riverside Drive.
Handicap Parking will be located at the intersection of Burnham Road/Riverside Drive. Traffic Officer’s will be posted at this location.
Parking will be available at the Burnham Road Baseball Fields (Morse Park), as well as, on Riverside Drive. (FOLLOW SIGNAGE)
There are NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, PERSONAL FIREWORKS ALLOWED INTO THESE FESTIVITIES.
