Prescription Drug Take Back Day
The Methuen Police Department in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration will be holding a Prescription Drug Turn-In on Saturday, April 29th, 2017 from 10am – 2pm.
Residents can turn in all expired or unused prescription and over the counter medication. Residents who have prescription medication for turn in who are concerned about their personal information can leave their information on the bottles because the medication will be incinerated immediately following the event.
This event is held so citizens can properly dispose of medication.
It is not recommended to throw the medication in the trash or flush it down the toilet as this could make its way into the water supply.
Anyone wishing to turn in needles can dispose of them in our permanent needle kiosk located in the lobby of the police station.
