METHUEN — A 25-year-old man was seriously injured in a one-car crash early yesterday morning.
The accident was reported at 12:35 a.m., after a 2007 Saturn Ion went through the guardrail and down an embankment on the Interstate 495 on-ramp from Route 213 east.
When emergency crews arrived, the front end of the vehicle was standing straight up, with its roof leaning against a tree.
The driver of the vehicle, Tristan Palmer, was transported to Lawrence General Hospital in serious condition, and later flown to a Boston hospital by medical helicopter, state police Sgt. Matthew Murray said.
An update on his condition was not available last night.
Murray did not have Palmer’s address, or the name of the Boston hospital he was taken to.
He said there was no further information available on the accident as of late yesterday afternoon.
He said the accident is under investigation by the state police crime scene services section and the collision analysis reconstruction section.
