On Friday, August 11, 2017 at approx. 12:22 pm, the Methuen Police Department responded to a report of a bank robbery at People’s United Bank located at 9 Jackson St.
A male suspect entered the bank and approached the teller. The suspect showed the teller a note and demanded money from the employee. The suspect stated he had a firearm (no firearm was shown). The cashier showed the suspect an empty drawer and then the suspect fled the bank on foot with no money. The male suspect was last seen running on foot by Korbani’s Bakery (Conduit St.) heading toward Lawrence.
The suspect is a light skinned Hispanic male, dark handle bar mustache, dark hair, approx. 40-50 years old, 5’6”, thin build, wearing glasses, dark jeans, white button down (checkered blue pattern) short sleeve shirt, dark baseball hat and sneakers.
